Green eyes scanned the plains, banner and mane blowing in the gentle breeze. Snorting she lowered her head and let her lips pick some more grass to eat. She had been wandering for over a year now and found that this territory was more relaxing to her. She could see for miles with how open the land is. It was easy for the lone mare to keep herself protected. Her past year had been rather peaceful, no drama and she could go where she pleased. She hadn't been under any stallion's rule and she had just spent the year exploring and familiarizing herself with MUSTANG. It suited her, but somehow she felt empty. She had a few foals and had been through quite a few lovers. But she had never really truly settled and never seen what her children had become.
Snorting she moved forward heading over to the creek.. She hadn't seen much activity this week, which didn't surprise her. These plains hadn't seem to grab anyone Else's attention, in fact maybe it scared them away. There was the threat of native American's. She hadn't been bothered by them yet in fact she hadn't even seen any yet.

Riptide's hooves skimmed just above the ground as he walked through the plains. He still felt the same current of agitation and unrest that he had felt for the past year, since he had returned to Mustang. He felt so out of sorts still, without his guiding light, but even despite that he held a deep resentment to his old home being in the hands of another. His valley kingdom was not only being ruled by another now, but non other than the son of one of his biggest annoyances. Just the thought of that child in ruling his land drove him crazy, but his age and experience had taught him a modicum of patience. He knew he would be better off right now to bide his time before kicking Cicero and his bastard father to the curb where they belonged.
The sooty king snorted softly as the scent of another drug him out of his contemplation and he came to an abrupt halt, head shooting up quickly. His hazel eyes scanned the plains searching for any potential danger. When he first set foot on these desolate plains he had easily identified the old scent of human lingering on the grasses and in the soil so despite his previous nonchalant appearance he was ready for any possible interference. Yet, his eyes fell on only a lone horse, a lone mare, making her own way across the spring grasses of the flat ground. His ears flicked forward, as his eyes quickly flitted around her trying to determine if she was actually alone. Riptide's eyes returned to her dun form and a nicker left his lips before beginning forward once more.
He couldn't deny the small pang of pain that fluttered within his chest at the similarities between her and his former queen. The woman who had so firmly entrenched herself within his soul and been his guiding light for so long, but this wasn't her. Quickly pushing those thoughts and feelings back he strode forward, his stride long and confident, but unhurried, as he closed the distance between himself and her. ”Greetings, mi'dear,” he called out, dipping his head slightly in greeting. ”What has brought you to these lands on this fine day?”
”Speeeeech!”

Moving forward with grace the dun mare had no idea she was not alone. She had let her mind drift into thought and had become distracted from paying attention to her surroundings. The soft calling of the stallion rang through her delicate ears, pulling her attention from her thoughts. She slowed to a stop before turning her head to look in the direction of the call. When she saw him a slight smile lit up her features, he was in no doubt handsome. She watched him close the distance, taking note of his unhurried movements. He seemed to act mature and didn't seem to be a cocky young stallion that wanted to snatch up all of the lone mares.
The sooty palomino stallion stopped in front of her he greeted her, before dipping his head. She felt somewhat flattered to see that he was also a rather respectful type, giving her a proper greeting and dipping his head. She smiled kindly to him as he spoke again.
"Well I find this part of the territory to be relaxing, sir," she replied.
She could ask him the same question, what would bring him here that he would see her and approach her. There had been vary little activity in this part, but yet he had ventured here. The faint scent of two leggeds must not have affected him like it has to the others.
"What brings you here kind sir," she asked.
