Personality: Cope is a fairly easy horse to get along with. He is very loyal and will at least try to carry on a decent conversation with everyone he meets. But the flashy stallion does in fact wear his heart on his sleeve, he falls in love quite easily, most of the time with the wrong mare. He is very, very loyal, almost to a fault as he is the type that would wind up getting himself seriously injured in efforts to protect those he cares for.
Don't let that fool you though, while this country boy isn't the sharpest tool in the shed, he is one of the most fierce fighters in the world and would rather die than see something bad happen to someone else. Cope is what many would view as the picture of "southern hospitality" as he calls everyone ma'am and sir and his manners are near perfection unless he is around his friends in which he is the typical country boy rough housing and chasing tail.
History: There isn't really anything spectaular to go on about in Cope's history. He was raised by two very loving and caring parents who taught him what it meant to be a man and made sure he said "please" and "thank you" for just about everything. Occassionally they were a little too overbearing and he would act out just like any youngin' would.
As he grew older, he and a filly he had grown up with grew quite fond of each other and the courtship began. Everything seemed like it was going to be perfect and they would wind up together forever and ever, it didn't take long for the young mare's barrel to begin growing rounder and rounder with their child.
But, happily ever after wasn't going to be the outcome of this story. Somewhere in her third trimester the roaned mare grew very ill, as her health deteriorated, Cope did everything and anything he could in order to make her as comfortable as possible and hopefully keep her alive longer. About two weeks after she fell ill, the mare passed away taking the life of their unborn child with them.
Unable to handle the grief any longer Cope kissed his mother and hugged his father and left home in hopes of finding a place in which he could settle down and move on from the traumatic experience of losing his first love.
