It has been far too long since the King of Sleepy Hollow has seen his Queen, his rock, his children's' mother. She was the only female left in his life who he would give his life for since the death of their daughter Ana - beautiful, grief-ridden Ana. Nightmares still gripped him where she was drowning in a sea so black and thick it was impossible to reach her and drag her up to the surface to gasp at the sweet, pure air. The man would wake bathed in sweat and so tired, but each nightmare was accompanied by another wave of unshakeable pain - he couldn't save her.
Catching drift of his wife's scent, Deade picks up his pace to a swift trot and navigates his way to her, bouncing over the odd tree root and fleeing small animal. His large hooves could be deadly to a rabbit or rodent. Each hair on his tall duel-toned frame stood up with the apprehension of seeing his Zelda, and it set him alight, letting out a playful squeal and a kick with his hind legs.
Reaching her, he threw up his head and rushed to her side, shoving his nose into her flank with a wild snort. He traced the lines of her body up to her head with soft little kisses, not noticing his youngest son until he was finished. A quick smile to Zelda, Deade ducked down his head and murmured "Hello, little one."
