His palms sweat as he stands there, waiting. He's never been in a proper fight before, never felt a fist connect with his square jaw for any real reason - and he's never felt so nervous. Not because he's scared of fighting… he's been in plenty of fights (though as afore mentioned, none so organised), but because he's afraid of the repercussions this fight will bring. Rhaskos isn't even sure this is allowed, to fight for a girl that doesn't even truthfully belong to him. Although he does often ponder if anyone really belongs to anyone… because if they did, life would be much easier. He didn't really love Isadore, but he could appreciate the beauty and the purity of her - and he'd felt shattered when Cicero had stolen her away, though he would never have admitted it. It's this that brings him to the ancient battlefield, hands clenched into sweaty fists and eyes anxiously searching the rims of its bloody confines. He's here to show Nessa that he's a loyal soldier, and to show Izzy he's worth her care and affection.
