AL-SARIM [Lionhearts and Misfits]
There were many facets to this sahib that made him who he was. He had the antics of a colt but all the moves and suave of a man of experience. The stallion was every up for play, for pleasure, for business. With Ebony he hardly knew what to expect though about every moment with the blue roan minx was hardly a dull one. And now in this little game now identified as cat and mouse, I mean, bandit and bounty-hunter, his blood pumped and warmed his frame from limbs to head. "Well we will see if you can catch me..." said the beauty as she kicked up another snowy assault his way. Sarim grunted and watched as she pulled ahead and way from him, still keeping a controlled stride. The ring of her laughter was ever a delightful sound he thought as he moved at pace letting the distance grow between them as they made way towards the valley. He felt alive and ever young again, and he picked up the speed until he could see her atop a hill ahead. The side from which he approached did not appear to be a steep hill, though the same might not be said for the other side of the slope.
If Ebony had endured so long of pain as she had expressed, she was a picture of beauty. A stallion would have to be blind not to want such a lady for himself. It angered him to thing any brute would harm her as those of her former herd had. But then too Sarim did not give much credit to herd members...even members of one's family might be a traitor. These ran through his head as he admired her in his approach. Drawing near to Ebony he smiled but eyed her cautiously. Instinct told him she was up to something.

Looking to see Sarim appear next to her Ebony eyed him up and down, if her plan were to work she would have to use what the gods gave mares. Starting to circle the dark stallion Ebony always kept her eyes on him, as she made a full circle around him the blue mare stopped and kissed his cheek softly before continuing. "You know Sarim I always liked a stallion who knew how to treat a lady" she spoke softly. Hopefully she was fooling the horse because it would be difficult if this failed, this was working for the blue mare in two ways. True the mare had started to grow feelings for Sarim so her plan let her express her feelings slightly and second she could feel triumphant. Stopping at Sarim's side on the left away from the hill Ebony bit his side softly. Looking to meet his eyes yet another glimpse of mischief in her eyes the blue mare used her back foot to kick his front, hopefully this worked she pushed him hoping he was off balance. If this worked he would call right into the deep snow. Never underestimate a mare she thought, starting to laugh at the sight of Sarim in the snow the mare waited to see his reaction. The blue mare was sure His look would be priceless and she wouldn't forget it. ---- Words: 252 Ooc: vnes♥ It's fine I'm busy myself and Ebony is a very tricky girl

AL-SARIM [Lionhearts and Misfits]
Al-Sarim had seen a great many things in his life as he was approaching his eighth year among the vital and living. His interest in members of the opposite sex began at a ripe young age and he learned quickly over the years the ways a woman could drive a man mad. Ebony was young and beautiful for everything she was the hellion mused...she was also quite aware that she had a hold on her companion and was using it quite well. And Al-Sarim, every a fool for a pretty belle was happy to be strung in. His eyes followed as she made her round. "You know Sarim I always liked a stallion who knew how to treat a lady..." The black-bay sahib had observed the surroundings...how could he not when it was so habitual in him to understand his surrounding before setting hoof into it. The beast only grinned in reply and kept observantly silent. He knew the hill ran steep on the other side, that it would make a good trap for an enemy in pursuit perhaps...and for a lady with that pretty glint of mischief in her eyes...it could very well be a trap for an unsuspecting (and somewhat suspecting) stallion. The kiss on his cheek...a traitor's kiss maybe but it was as feathery soft more than the fur of a gosling and as tender as a spring breeze. The stallion found himself enjoying such attentions to escape from the lady and her elaborate trap. The stallion only grunted at her bite, he was neither startled not in pain...it was a very different feeling the gesture instilled that he had to swallow to keep himself composed though his mouth had run dry. He was going to move to pull her in, to feel the warmth of her next to him, but she had the upper hand here and her little ploy to throw him off had worked. The hellion was nimble to be sure but his frame fell just the same, his weight off balance and with the help of gravity caused the brute to tip over and roll until he was covered in snow and ice.
It was a moment to laugh perhaps except for one thing...the stallion did not get up...did not move actually.

Ebony tilted her head as Sarim did not get up, it wasn't a long fall why didn't he get up! she thought slightly panicked. The blue mare slowly slid down the hill leaning back to slow herself down, once at the bottom the blue mare nudged Sarim's non-moving body worriedly. "Hey get up!" she spoke hurriedly, what if he never got up? Ebony stepped back slightly her ears pinned to the back of her head. Looking at Sarim she waited to see if he got up fear welling inside of her. This was not the first time she had seen a dead body first was rosemarry, then her own foal not to mention all the stallions who would fight, of course the loser would leave with no pride or no life in his eyes. The blue mare once again nudged his head with her nose gently, "you can't be dead it wasn't a great fall." her voice was barley a whisper as she began to get more worried. If the leader of this land came and found a horse he knew laying on the ground dead he would smell that Ebony was here, then she would be attacked most likely. Then there is the problem of what she would do without Sarim, she had nowhere to go and those stallions from her old herd could find her and the blue mare was not as strong as a stallion, she would lose her life. ------ words: 274 Ooc: vnes♥ what will we do since the weather has changed to spring? just continue on with snow, or maybe time skip?

AL-SARIM [Lionhearts and Misfits]
He had heard a tale once...long ago, about a mare who specialized in remedies and poisons, who had been accused of killing children and the elderly by her craft (much more speculation than truth in the matter). She had fallen for a stallion who served in the Sheik's army and he likewise loved her. When the lady was sentenced to be executed she had taken a poison that killed her in her sleep, though she was only made to appear dead. The body was taken by old ropes salvaged from the two legged beasts and laid by the seaside cliff where they were to be rid of her corpse. Before the poison's effects were dulled, her lover stormed the entourage and killed all the soldiers there present, thus betraying his oath as a warrior to the prince...he was unaware that she was not truly dead. In his sorrow he leapt to his death among the rocks below, for the tide was yet low. When the maid awoke, she was horrified to be surrounded by death and blood, a trail of blood stained hoofprints leading up to the edge of the cliff. Daring to peer over, she screamed to see the lifeless body of her beloved. Her plan had be foiled, her allies had failed and now her love and life was dead. In like fashion, she too plunged herself to a jagged death, her body near to his as they waited for the tide to take them to sea and to eternal freedom.
Of course, Ebony was right. The hill was steep but the fall was not fatal, had it been he might not let himself fall so. But he wished very much to entertain the blue roan lady, who brought him so much amusement. It was a shame that the winter did not look as it would last so long. Soon spring would be here and the journey would begin and he would be back to work so to speak. The hellion could hear the panic in her voice, the tremble in her whisper. Sarim waited until she was close enough before he nimble turned and rose on his pillars, nudging her gently, his head pushing lightly against her neck. The stallion was quick, which was no surprise in his line of work. He had trained these last few years perfecting his craft. There was mischief in his eyes, a hint of satisfaction as well for having put a bit of a fright in the lady. "It would take more than a little fall to kill me dearest." he said with all the suave of a snake charmer. In truth there were only two things Sarim imagined would be the end of him: his own ambition or a rather clever female. He smiled before moving off, leading way now at a gentle jog into the valley.
