It'd taken long enough, but he and Lazerus had finally decided on where they would but up the herd for the winter. Paradise Falls. Shelter from the winter weather, plenty of water, and adequate amount of food, and also food in the nearby area of the Lowland Marsh, and Shallow Springs to eat, and drink during the day. He hoped that Tigerlily would be somewhat happy with this location unlike his choice of the Shallow Springs over the summer, she clearly disapproved of. It seemed now that there was no pleasing her in her aged years now. The excitement of his return back home seemed to be short lived once they'd courted, and she carried his foal. There wasn't really anything he liked of the open herd lands available, and he knew well that his Queen sure wouldn't either, and he wouldn't hear the end of it. Definitelyn not off the side of a mountain of Tentacle slopes. He'd rather have his old lands of Shady Grove back, or even have a chance at Erutan Canyon. He wished he had been more on it sooner when he'd discovered that it was open again but, he was beat to it by some young blood stallion. So this place was about as good as it was going to get for right now. He raised his head up, and called out to the herd before he made his way through the rock formations, and winter coated greenery. He wanted to make sure everyone knew how to get through here, and didn't get lost.
Lazerus
The bay dun stallion trudged through the snow, making an obvious path to where the herd was needing to go, and to also help make it easier on little foals trudging through the deep snow with their spindly long legs. He hadn't got to see the foal he and Isolde and produced yet. He was quite excited to see this life they'd created. It'd been a long time since he'd had any foals. Well, since the twins were born, and that'd been quite some time now. Hopefully, the twins would like their new sibling, and have something else better to do than bicker with one another when they were insight of each other now. He perked his auds, hearing his father's deep bellowing call not too far away, and he replied back to him, before he looked behind him into the eerie stillness the winter brought. He hoped to see some signs of the others coming, hoping he and his father wouldn't be alone.

oh wow forgot to add the scarsEZRA Still being rather quiet and perhaps snappy at his sister, he was yet still consumed by what he'd learned over a year ago now. It continued to haunt him every moment of all waking and slumbering hours of the day. It seemed this continuous burden was not kind to his weight and appetite, though he fed when necessary he had not bothered to put on the extra weight needed in the forbearing months leading to winter. Cold to the touch was his skin from not enough insulation, though at this point his body had been so numb he didn't realize how cold he actually was. The only thing that truly pained him was his crippled back legs, the bare flesh from the deep scars hardly was a note of bother in the cold to him as how bad his back leg muscles had been ceasing up on him as of late. Having kept to the rear of the meandering group, Ezra sucked in a deep breath nodding to himself. He'd made up his mind. He needed an outlet for this pent up guilt and self-hate, being around loved ones seemed to progressively scare him with how snappy aggressive he'd been becoming lately. With hardly any sound rest and constant throbbing pain, the black overo colt felt it necessary to take time to himself. Audits pricked at his grandfather's call, keeping the herd in check. Perhaps finding a place, which he thought it was a bit odd the stallion searching for a place. As he remembered fondly his mother was always one, even bitter most of the time, keeping an eye out for the herd. Saying it was a lead mare's duty to find the shelter and resources for the herd, the lead stallion was to protect the herd from harm. Did Tigerlily know how to even find food herself or just nag his gramps every day? Oh why did he bother to care, it was the aging red dun's choice to keep the old coot around. Huffing a breath, kicking his heels into a fast lope, weaving around what members of the herd were near, "Excuse me" He'd say every so often asking for pardon everytime he'd pass someone. Even rushing past his sister without a second glance, knowing she'd hate his choice and nag him for it, most likely. Finally he reigned in his pace to match the walk of his father, with a rushed heavy breath, "Dad, I need to talk with you. Possibly with gramps as well if you think its necessary. And perferably without Ellecia listening in." Glancing over his shoulder hoping his sister hadn't found the initiative to follow him yet as he spoke. Laredo
