For once, the world seemed quiet. The full moon glistened above, casting a silver glow through these open lands. The femme held her dial high, harks swiveling, listening for anything at all. With a snort, she dipped her cranium and pawed at the ground, looking for anything besides snow. The mare snorted again. It had been months since she'd encountered another equine. The fact that she'd made it this far alone was a surprise, even to her. If Treva were here, the lands wouldn't seem so quiet. At that thought, the onyx mare shook her head and began to move forward. Her hazel orbs stared forward as the plains stretched out before her. A soft wind blew, whispering through the blades of grass, tangling her locks ever so slightly. With a flick of her banner, the mare picked up speed to a steady canter. Her neck arched and the mare slowed back down to a trot. In the distance, she could see smoke rising, and though her curiosity wanted the better of her, she simply turned her attention elsewhere.
The night was young. The winds caused a soft chill to claim the air and Sinnersife now wondered if this was the place she'd like to be. The plains looked barren, so much so that it almost drove her to turning back and leaving. With a heavy sigh, the mare lowered herself to the snow and rolled before standing and shaking herself fiercely. Such a calm night with no one to disturb. How saddening. A smirk spread across her maw as she began to think of her adventures with Treva. How she missed the little bay mare. Her smirk faded and another sigh rolled from her lips. Life had seemed so black and white since Treva's death. This was the first real appearance Sin had made since the accident. Far from her old home, the secret was hers to hold. Sometimes she grieved, other times she caused mischief, pretending Treva were by her side as she had been before. Such a short life the mare had lived.
A grunt escaped her as the wind blew her direction and a new scent lingered towards her. It was equine. With perked harks, the dove began to move upwind. As the wind blew into her face, she became more anxious. Her body tensed and she drove herself into a canter. The rhythm of her hooves over the land signaled her coming and she snorted. For once she wasn't trying to hide. For once, she wanted to be noticed.

Felcon had been wondering through the snow for sometime now and his legs seemed to not want to move, aware of the creatures who inhabited this place the marwari needed to move faster. Not seconds before the stallion had been racing away from those creatures who took other equine and rode on top of their backs. Those creatures known as man always made him furious they thought they could take equines and make them do what they wanted, stomping a hoove sending snow flying the stallion laid his ears flat on his head. Felcon would not be one of them, satisfied with himself the stallion continued. Felcon stopped distance away of what seemed to be a equine rolling on the ground, was it stupid? The snow must be freezing, Felcon's winter coat did not grow in that well this year so he was cold but other equines shouldn't be rolling in the snow even if they had winter coats they would just be getting cold. As the stallion opened his mouth to speak when the equine stood, with a aggravated snort Felcon began walking towards the horse until it broke into a canter. As the equine blindly ran past him Felcon looked to where it was headed, the only thing he could pick up was equine. But that was the direction he had came and where man was, did this equine think there was a herd instead of man? "wait!" he called after with a loud neigh. Felcon had to warn the equine before it was too late, Felcon would let another be caught. ---- Words: 278 Ooc: IVRICKtheGREAT Hope I'm not intruding

Sin stopped dead in her tracks at the sound of a voice and spun around. Her hazel orbs landed on the speaker; a dun stallion. Where did he come from? She snorted and narrowed her eyes at him. "How long have you been watching me?" She asked, though it sounded more like a demand. Her voiced seemed loud against the quiet landscape.
For a moment, she thought about turning and leaving. Would he be able to catch her if she did? Her eyes roamed him for a moment. He was lean and tall - compared to her petite frame - and looked as if he were built to run. But, would he even chase her? She rolled these thoughts in her head for a moment. Maybe he wouldn't even care. Then something else came to her attention. "Why did you stop me, anyway, Mister...?" She asked, her tone a tad lighter now, though her expression still held hints of her irritability.
She kept her head higher than usual and she payed close attention through her narrowed eyes. Her solid black frame stood out strong against the contrast of the white snow. Night was drawing in deeper and the winds were becoming colder. They almost made Sin shiver as she stood motionless, staring at the stallion. She'd never seen one quite like him before. His ears were odd, but also interesting. However, something about the way this brute carried himself was familiar to her. She couldn't quite make out why and that made her curious which also made her cautious.

Felcon sighed in relief as the equine stopped, "How long have you been watching me?" Flecon snorted "please, I wasn't watching you simply...admiring you" he corrected the equine that he now confirmed a mare. Felcon put his ears forward "although I don't like your tone, feisty" he said with a chuckle. Felcon, lifting his own head higher noticed this mare examining him. "Why did you stop me, anyway, Mister...?" so the mare did have a nice tone. Thinking of he should answer Felcon looked her up and down her petite frame stood out against the snow, interesting. "Felcon, and I just saved you from man, the ones who ride us." he answered. The mare should be grateful he saved her from a life of slavery. Funny, this mare reminded Felcon of himself she seemed to not need to rely on a stallion as other mares he had seen did. This amused Felcon maybe he could hang around and study this mare more. "Man lives in these plains and steals us horses in the night, even as bold to steal us in the day. Once you are taken they will not return you into the wild but they will make you do as they tell you" he warned the mare. Stomping his hoove Felcon smiled, "now how rude is it that you are not telling me your name" he said with amusement heavy in his voice. ---- Words: 252 Ooc: IVRICKtheGREAT

Admiring? Boy, did he think he was a charmer or what? Sinnersife rolled her eyes at him. He didn't like her tone already? And to think she was actually being polite for the moment. Sin watched the stallion's seekers examine her petite frame before he gave his name and spoke of a creature called man. This time, the lady let a giggle pass her lips. She'd never heard of such a thing as 'man.' To the femmora, it almost sounded like a made up story.
"I've never heard of such a thing." She said with a laugh. She took another glance behind her. The smoke still rose, and a faint light was now clear in the far horizon. She turned back at the brute's next words. "I'm called Sinnersife." Said said, a dip of her head as she smirked at the stallion. Her hazel orbs studied him once more. His dun coat glistened in the moonlight, almost as much as her own raven colored bodice. His amber eyes watched her as she watched him. Finally bored with the silence, the mare spoke. "So, Felcon, tell me more about this.. Man." The words rolled from her lips with a sweet ring, though the tone that rang from her throat was almost condescending.
Now, this little blackbird wasn't typically so friendly. In most cases, her expression would seem more or less hostile and her tone would back it up. However, the time away from others had changed something about the femme. While the havoc wreaking lady still lie within herself, she felt the need to be social; to be around someone other than herself. Admittedly, her mind had been taking a toll on her well-being, leading her into dangerous situations that she'd otherwise avoid, even when Treva was around. The mare would cause trouble among her own kind because there was no real threat, or so she seemed to think. After all, there wasn't many an equine who could match her pace and sure feet. But lately, she'd instigate wolves and other carnivorous beasts. Her only chance of life in these moments was to do what she did best to avoid her own demise; run. She could strike a hefty blow, but her skills in combat were little to none. Sin had never been a fighter, but she could run most into the dirt. Her frame was slender - as it was for most Arabians - and her legs, while thin, provided enough muscle for a burst of speed in takeoff and a slightly longer stride than most female Arabians of her size. Even still, she'd always ended up second to Treva. The little bay had always had one advantage over Sinnersife; her mother was of Thoroughbred bloodlines. While Treva and Sin shared a father of Arabian breed, Treva's mother was the only in the harem that was not of pure Arabian bloodlines. Treva had taken more after her mother than their father. Having a tall, slender frame with long, powerful legs. A blow from her hindquarters had saved the duo many a time in their reckless adventures. Through Sin, Treva lived on. The bond between them could never be broken, not even in death.
Sin shook her head once more. She'd been thinking of Treva a lot tonight. Her best friend; her sister. For a moment, she wondered about the colt they'd bullied so often. What had his name been? Was he even still alive? If so, Sin couldn't help but wonder what kind of stallion he'd become. Leaving her home in the desert had tugged at her heart strings during the time, but she'd wanted to see the world. She'd never wanted to be part of some harem, forced to bear young to a master. No. Sinnersife was far too full of life; far too full of curiosity. She still saw the world through child-like eyes. To her, it was merely a game to play.
A soft rumbling pulled the lady from her mind and she snorted, turning once more to the scene behind her. Smoke still lingered in the air, but the light was gone. A smell of burning wood had made it's way to the pair and Sin snorted. "If man is so dangerous here, then why did you come?" She asked the brute, turning her hazel pools on him again.
