Don't send for sunshine or rain. If you wish to see my true colors, know this: Wild roses bloom by fire. Winter was departing, hardly in a hurry to flee so that more inviting weather might arrive and life might spring a new. The winds bit into her skin still, cool despite the afternoon sun making its departure. You could not see the sun today, because of those moisture soaked clouds that lined the sky today. It did not feel like spring just yet. However, there were wild blooms popping across the plains in white and pink and red and orange, just little dabs of color against a chilly wind.
Nesrin was traditionally not used to this unfamiliar topography, but she was learning. The belle was a long way from her desert home, but hopeful just the same that this new realm would likewise bring new adventures. Her legs restless beneath her, the slender fetale whinnied out loud, listening to the mild echo that further confirmed the lonely emptiness of the light. The dun minx tossed her dark locks and broke into a trot, veering one way, then the other before breaking out into a full gallop. The young maid was little blur against the backdrop of a green and gold horizon, nearly blending in with her surroundings against the backdrop of a greater mountain and other lands in the distance that made up Mustang.
Nares flared as she shifted gears to pickup speed. A fallen and rotted wood lay across the way, and she seamlessly approached and took flight over the obstacle, landing with hardly a thud before kicking up the earth and blazing on. The world was blur to her at this rate...without the resistance of desert sands beneath her hooves, she felt she could just as easily take wing like a bird and soar across the skies, high above the clouds. Speaking of which...a cool slither of ran kissed her face before a soft drizzle started to come down. The fae did not stop but continued on wondering where the plains had their end. She would find out soon enough she supposed. Just as quickly as you come to know my splendor, lo I am consumed and disappeared in the flames.

(Hey may i join? i'l be using my stallion Wild Card/Blackjack ( Ah that time of the year is fast approaching. Spring, the season of love and the season of war, that's what Blackjack calls it as stallions would be fighting over mares and land or at least that's what the horses in his past home did, which was fun while it lasted at least but of course those scrawny two legged things had to do a round up during a forest fire which resulted in the death of many horses in Blackjack's case caused him to move to mustang during winter months and he certainly didn't regret that decision one bit.
Blackjack always loved exploring unfamiliar places, just as long it doesn't have absurdly overgrown plant growth to the point you trip over something every 6 seconds, he was sure the forest he explored as a yearling had a ton of mountain lions in it but was lucky enough not to get attacked, killed and eaten. If he had been a near white colored palomino like his grandfather or father, then he might have not been so lucky that day
Blackjack was prancing across the plains, wondering where it would end as he had never seen a plain this vast and empty to say the least, usually he would see tree's every now and then but this place was a exception, he certainly wont be planning returning to his not so pretty looking homeland now.
He stopped in his tracks and his ears twitched, hearing a horses's whinny not to far away. Well turns out he wasn't alone and lost in this place, that certainly made him a little happier. Then he saw a horse, running across the plains not to far away. Now he was real curious, enough so that he broke into a full gallop towards the stallion or mare and whinnied afterwards hoping to catch his or her's attention.

K L A U S Ah, the beginning of Spring. Spring was the most flourishing season of the year, babies were being created, plants were blooming along with testosterone. Klaus had never fully witnessed the "joys" of spring time but this year he was going to. Normally he would be wandering between lands, maybe meeting a horse or two on the way. But he planned to spend a while here, he wanted to meet new people, explore new lands, and possibly settle down. If that was possible. He moved his long, lean frame against the wind, freshly bloomed grass brushing against his legs. Some longer blades of grass would tickle his deep velvet barrel. His nares flared as he took deep, rumbling breaths.
Somehow he had found himself in Indian Plains but remained unaware of that, all he knew was that he was wandering in an endless wander of grass. For miles and miles that was all you could see aside from the green outline of the mountains. It was beautiful, yes, but it was enough to drive a certain equine over the edge. Klaus struggled, his mind wandered on and on forever, he felt that he was never gonna make it out of the plains. He felt as if he was suffocating. His jugular grew tight, his body rigid, and his sides were heaving in and out. He stopped and closed his chocolate brown opticles as tightly as possible. He started taking deep breaths and in between breaths he would recite to himself, "I am okay. This is not as bad as it seems. I will get out."
Some only saw him as a pretty face, but there was more to him. He came with a lot of baggage and anyone who built some sort of relationship would have to come to realization with that. He sighed, wondering if anyone would ever really accept him for who he was. He was a freak. He was an honest wild card. You never knew what to expect when it came to this stallion.
And just like that, his mood changed.
His eyes flashed open, crimson eye lashes flicking against his deeply masculine face. Somewhere nearby there was another horse, a female to be exact. His muscles started trembling beneath his thinning coat. He looked around, neck bending in every direction, he couldn't seem to locate the equine but he was going to find her somehow. He no longer sought comfort for his "problems", he just wanted to find the mare. He set out on his hunt, long legs moving effortlessly beneath his large body. It didn't take long for him to find her, she was running towards him full blast. She had a very feminine frame, she was thin, kind of petite, but she was still tall and strong. She moved with motivation as well as passion, she moved like a wild fire. He stopped instantly, admiring her bodice as she danced towards him. She had already lost most of her winter coat and now a thin layer of dun shimmered in the sunlight.
She was so different compared to him. Klaus was taller and thicker, he was molded like a Friesian except he had a body painted a deep crimson and had locks that were more of a fiery red. He had kind eyes that would fool the most naive creature for he wasn't kind or nice or loving. Or that was what he thought about himself anyways.
Finally the mare ventured close enough for him to talk, "Hello." His voice was husky but held a certain youthfulness. But just as he spoke, another horse made an appearance. The stallion had seemed to been in hot pursuit of the mare but Klaus had reached her first. Klaus awaited the arrival of the other stallion, he was gonna allow him to make the first move towards Klaus. He wasn't good at this sort of thing.

Don't send for sunshine or rain. If you wish to see my true colors, know this: Wild roses bloom by fire. There was an exhilarating sense of freedom, having all that ground to cover and none to tell her she could not cross its full expanse. No sooner had the sandy hued minx thought this did something catch her attention...another horse. The hellion had come into view before she passed, his red form not hard to miss among the greens and golds of spring here in the plains. He too seemed to be enjoying the freedom afforded by this quiet and flat lithe, which caused a little grin to cross her lips. Her smile evaporated as she soon found the virile trailing her. Thorns pinned as she dared to turn back with some agitation at this. What was his meaning by doing this the young fae wondered? Then it occurred that perhaps the beast might be looking for a bit of sport. At this thought she smirked, ears pricked.
This one had desert heritage, it showed in the delicate curvature of his façade and it was a pleasant surprise to come across a desert-born kin. She did not plan on stopping, but pressing onwards and daring him to catch her (it was her favorite game after all). But her plans were changed on the dime when she turned to face forward and found another stallion in her path. She came to a slightly clumsy halt before the second virile, who was also red but a deeper, rich red whereas the other sahib appeared more of a red brown. The dun-skinned lady only slowed slightly. Now she was mildly annoyed again, but curious just the same. "Hello yourself, stranger." There was a mild rasp to her voice which was confident. A lady in the company of two strange stallions, she did not show a hint of concern for her own well-being. At this point agitation would do little good so the minx decided to satisfy her own curiosity. "Only a moment ago I had the plains all to myself. Now it appears I have company. What brings you here fellas?"
Just as quickly as you come to know my splendor, lo I am consumed and disappeared in the flames.

Hmm he felt a odd sense of deja vu running after the mar, perhaps because he had done it numerous times before in his homeland. Though he felt a ting of anger when another stallion seemingly appeared out of no where when he stopped a few feet away from the mare, but the stallion wasn't chasing him away or trying to murder him or anything which surprised Blackjack because that's what stallions would do if there was a mare nearby guess this land was really unique and beautiful in it's own odd way.
He briefly squinted his eyes at Klaus, he was quite a big, muscular stallion similar that of a friesian in which he would have thought the stallion was a friesian if it wasn't for his deep crimson coat and fiery red locks. The mare however has a thin feminine frame but still tall and strong. Blackjack's body is built more for speed, stamina and dexterity than power, he has quite a bit of muscle and fairly tall still not a lot considering he has no draft horses of any kind in his bloodline but not like he cared about how tall or muscular he is.
He shifted his attention back to the mare, "Well, i was just admiring the beauty of this land and all it's certainly better than my previous homeland, it didn't have vast beautiful plains like this" he spoke with a odd sense of confidence in his voice, Blackjack isn't a shy horse for sure though he can be unusually quiet in some situations.

K L A U S His heart was lurching out of his chest as he peered at the other stallion with curious eyes that were wide and willing. Only the interested sound of the young ladies voice snapped him out of his thoughts. His skin crawled slightly with eagerness and his muscles locked as he took in the scent of both. He had already drawn the conclusion that this lady was cocky, but she was strong. Oh what he could create out of her. He smirked slightly sizing himself up as he spoke, "I'm Klaus." His voice was quick and daring, seeping with venom but inviting all the same. He could change so quickly or his mood changed very quickly. Just as he glanced from the mare back to the stallion he saw him squinting at him, not long but he had done it. Klaus rolled his large brown eyes around his head and snorted before angrily hissing at the other stallion, "Excuse me but could you please not stare?"
His words rolled out as more of a demand rather than a question. Of course Klaus had been sizing the other stallion up but he didn't mind that. He didn't like the way that this other stallion stared at him. Only then did they shift their attention back to the mare as she spoke, she wanted to know what brought them here and honestly Klaus did not know. He gave the other stallion the chance to speak before he answered her, "Well, actually I'm lost. I was exploring and lost my way. I'm new here if you didn't notice." Klaus tried to make conversation, he tried to joke with her but he failed miserably. Instead of his tone ringing in a joking way he came off as blunt and aggressive.
As always.

Don't send for sunshine or rain. If you wish to see my true colors, know this: Wild roses bloom by fire. It was not difficult to see that she was dealing with two very different creatures, both masculine, both likely to overpower her physically (though doubtful either could catch her). They seemed delightful enough for company, and Nes knew company in this strange land called Mustang could not be a bad thing...unless the company was bad, which as she had already observed so far was not the case. The buckskin dun of a vixen met the gaze to the stallion who had first approached and tailed her a bit.
There was a sense of ease in his voice backed by resounding confidence in his voice. It made her smile and made him appear much friendlier. "It is a rather nice place I suppose if the mundane does not get to you. Sounds like you come from a world of interesting stranger." Compared to the other virile who was of a redder tint, he introduced himself as Klaus. There was an awkward bluntness about him. Clearly he was young, likely not to shy off her age. He had an ego of his own and while that might usually be a turn-off, Nesrin rather found it refreshing, particularly his reaction to the other stallion. It was adorable when stallions competed to see whose ego might be bigger. The lady grinned at this. She was not one to hustle for all the attention but she knew when to appreciate when she had it and how to make the most of it.
"Well Klaus, I am called Nesrin. And to be frank, how in the cosmos am I to know you are new just by looking at you? Likely no more than you can tell by looking at me, love. I can't help you I'm afraid as I myself am also new here. I can tell you that there are rather dark and interesting equines roaming the forest in the East." While she could appreciate what she took for sarcasm, her pride could not allow for this to go without her putting her piece in. The mare spoke with ease and suave that was a gift from her desert kin. She could transition easily between cursing like a soldier and mesmerizing like a snake charmer. Nes was referring to Ivanov, the rather attractive stallion she had the displeasure of bumping into back East. Her whipcord swished at the thought of him with mild agitation with herself more than anything. Drawing away from the stallions a bit she looked out over the plains as another gust came in and caused the sprouting blooms and foliage to dance and sway, the cool air biting at her again. The sun was going down at its sluggish pace, turning the sky orange at its western corner. The minx of velvet gold turned back upon the two. "Three strangers meeting at a crossroads...in the desert we hardly believe anything to be coincidence...such a thing must be a good omen." Her eyes sparkled now with interest to know who these strangers were and what exactly she might gain from knowing them, perhaps joining them or allowing them to join her. She directed her eyes to Arabian-looking brute, "So...do you have a name stranger?"
Just as quickly as you come to know my splendor, lo I am consumed and disappeared in the flames.

Well seems like this odd crimson stallion has set his place in Blackjack's 'horses i dislike' list, though he could give this stallion a benefit of a doubt but he wasn't one to do that, for Blackjack a first impression is important and always will be. And his mind is shouting at him to chase this stallion away or at least try to but he wont because that wouldn't be nice at all now wouldn't it?
He liked the way Nesrin spoke with charming ease and suave, which reminded him of his mother who he swears can get herself off sticky situations just by speaking though didn't exactly use her silver tongue for good and just used it to ruin every other horse's day. Mundane childhood memories aside he noticed Nesrin looking off in the distance, he felt cold gush of wind for a moment though he wasn't a fan of cold weather but it still felt a little nice of course he's more than glad that winter is coming to an end soon.
He returned his attention back to Nesrin when she asked him what his name is. "Just call me Blackjack, not a impressive or fancy name like a lot of the inhabitants of this land seem to have but a name is still a name" he said giving Nesrin a soft smile. He doesn't introduce himself as Wild Card anymore as he thinks the name is well dumb so the nickname Blackjack stuck with him though he doesn't know why his relatives would give him his grandfather's name as a nickname despite not baring any resemblance to him.

K L A U S The stallion was trying to gather his wits, he really wasn't aggressive he just come off that way. Already the other stallion had won the mare over, charming her with easiness and politeness. That was something that Klaus lacked in every way. Ever since Klaus had been a mere foal he had struggled to fit in or whenever he wasn't in solitude he had struggled to fit in. Whenever he was younger he had met a few his age but not very many, they always poked and prodded at him, making fun because they knew it would tick him off. Klaus had a short fuse and he had no idea how to filter his anger, he was a ticking time bomb. But of course there was always one thing that could calm him down: A beautiful mare. There was nothing like impressing the opposite sex, more or less that was what was on every stallion's mind. Klaus could tell that not only was he wanting to impress the mare but the other stallion was too.
Anger rushed throughout the large stallion's body as the mare started talking to the other stallion, paying no mind to Klaus for now. She returned the easiness to the stallion, her words were charming and confident with a sweet tinge. Klaus was jealous, no doubt about it. But finally it was his turn, she finally switched her attention from the other stallion back to Klaus and his body trembled with excitement as she snapped at him. Well, not really snapped, but she bluntly put her two cents in and he was very pleased. She was a strong mare with a dark easiness about her, he found this even more attractive than her looks. She would make a nice piece to add to his harem, well she would be the only piece that he would have for now but one day he would have a large, thriving herd.
Klaus' red lips turned up into a dark smirk as he replied back, a little more sarcastic and easy going this time, "You're not supposed to know by just looking at me, frankly Ms. Nesrin I just stated that I was lost. Would I be lost if I knew my way around here? No. And as for the dark equines in the East, I have yet to meet anyone that I could develop an actual opinion about." His large shoulders rolled as he gruffly chuckled. The "Princess of the Desert" that he had met had been quite the character and he still struggled to decide on what he had thought about her, interesting was the only way that he could put it. As for these two, he liked Nesrin however Blackjack was a different story.

N E S R I N [Wild Roses Bloom by Fire.]
One bluntly honest, one polite and modest the fae thought. Wouldn't this make the poets go mad? She looked to the hellion called Klaus and smiled warmly. Though he had yet to venture there, he was likely to in the near future. These handsome creatures were new to Mustang and likely in the market for either a home or harem, much like her. Nesrin was a woman of ambition, and took pride in her witts and often held herself in highest regard above other floozy mares and some more hard headed stallions. These two, perhaps, seemed to have some potential and she could certainly respect that. "Well then...I'm sure you'll venture East one of these days and perhaps then you'll remember my words." Her tone remained easy and casual, a smile on her face as she studied him a bit more. He did not seem like a mere 'explorer,' a seeker of knowledge as one might call it. There was something familiar thought the dun mare...was it ambition? His cold and blunt actions appeared aggressive, but her intuition told her there was perhaps a little more to the man than met the eye and so she conversed with without insult or agitation. "By the way, I did not intend to nearly run you over...I should have been watching my path. Sorry." Apologies tasted bitter on her tongue and the corner of her mouth winced mildly just saying the word.
After a while she turned back to the other hellion who introduced himself as Blackjack. Another interesting name she thought as she tilted her head politely to one side acknowledging the title. The tension between the two seemed to strangle the air about, and Nesrin eyed both again, first Klaus then Blackjack. Then her attentions shifted to the sky as it became yet another darker shade of gray, and the rain began to fall at a more steady drizzle with no intention of lightening up just yet. A soft thunder could be heard rolling in from the distant horizon. Rain was a blessing in the desert. It was a strange time for rain here however...perhaps the sea was restless she thought. Then again...so was her heart. "A pleasure Blackjack. Perhaps you would not mind explaining to me why you were following me? Maybe we can discuss this out of the rain?" She shivered slightly under the rain that was no pouring.
The sandy hued lady had every intention of enjoying the open plains and moving on to other parts of Mustang. Running into two fine stallions was not part of the day's agenda but now that she was here it would not hurt. If only she knew where to find shelter. The nearest thing was a stretch of woods that poked out towards the west side of the plains, but it was still a distance away yet. Lighting flashed and heaven made its wrath known in a loud boom indicating the weather was upon them and moving quickly. She looked to the two sahibs, not flinching at the thunder at all, a smile on her face as she tilted her head that they might follow unless either was brave enough to take lead and assume that she might follow. "You are welcomed to come along Klaus, otherwise, I we should bid our adieus here."
WORDS: 551 OOC: sry guys i am back for real now. my muse might be slow starting up again but i should be on more regularly this week. i don't mind closing this out if muse has fled lol. i have not been able to work out getting Nes to follow Klaus...I'm still feeling her out and also got blocked with family stuffs. sry again, let me know if anything. <3 TAGS: CHAR-IZARD!
