The dark prince stayed within the shadows of the trees as his multicolor orbs glanced at the land before him. He was a lean muscle man thanks to his breeding, yet he was tall due to his genetics. His black mane blew gently from the wind that drifted from the roaring waterfalls before him, his pelt sleek and shone when he stepped forth from the shadows and made his way towards the water's cool edge. Some rocks echoed to his ears as he stopped and lowered his kissers to the welcoming cold pool.
If anyone saw him from away his black pelt looked polished and clean even if it had been away since he had water spray his dark and white body. He was like a painting, pure black expect for a white sock, a white spot on his left flank, and the tornado that dotted his body. His shoulders were slender yet there was a defined muscle detail to them, he had a long barrel that sported a muscular rear, and his legs were slender yet strong. His neck was sleek yet held an inviting embrace to any females that wished to cling to them.
Hmm, if only Insidious knew what that was like. True mares from his only herd sought after him but, he truly stepped back from that because of his father. The mental mention of his sire sent a tingle through the three year old that made his skin cringe. It was because of him that Insidious was forced out of his birthright. All thanks to his mother though he was a live, but his siblings he was not sure how many there was he had no clue if they were just as lucky.
Yet, here he was a live and well just waiting to start his own path. So far from what he saw of this place he liked it. Once he had his fill of the water Insidious made his way from the pool as the roar of the water tried to call him back to it. But, the young man went back to the place he was and rested softly against the bark of the tree he sighed softly. He remained alert for if anyone wanted to sneak up would have their chances spoiled. Dark crown dipped once more as he pulled at the green tresses and he enjoyed the lushness it gave to him.
How long will he stay here? He did not know but for now it gave what he sought after. So maybe for a while.

It seemed as if this petite and fined boned two year old filly was perhaps timid and afraid of the world, but a closer looks just shown she was nervous to be without her father. Which was highly unusual that he had allowed her to part from his side, in a way she felt it were another of his many mini tests that she'd have to get his approval on in the end. Would she be able to handle on her own and came back safely? Or would she be weak and let the first worthless brute pick her up. In either case, scared she may seem Christina knew what to do encase she were to get stuck in a sticky situation. Still very loyal to her father, she would never willing go with another stallion, she knew it was her father's right to choose the proper stud to hand her off too. So if situation arose she would indeed fight her way free and return to the safety of her patron. It seemed like quite the simple idea, surely it could go that simple if it happened.
Sighing out her nerves, bright amber pools flitted around as she absorbed her scenery, patron off attempting to find suitable mares to serve beneath him. He'd given her the liberty of a day to wander on her own, with strict warnings of course, none the less she returned to a spot she'd grown fawn of. Having found it about a year ago, it held all the essentials to help a horse thrive, shelter, food and water. Pleasant and sweet it was un-aroused by any outside happenings. It was like being in your own little world. It made Christina smile as she slowly plodded on, one marry step after another. Humming a sweet tune to herself. Every so often letting real angle soft notes trill off her tongue and lips as she went. Quite the perfect daddy's little girl she had grown into.
Slim and collect, well balance and poised, nothing was mis-proportioned from her bodice. Her white markings as clear a white clouds her mane a silvery cream, her eyes a loving rich amber hue with a voice borrowed from the angels themselves, a gem in a rift. And her father knew it, having fended off several persuers already. Christina smiled at the thought of being desired and at the thought of becoming the perfect herd mare for some lucky stud. Blindly lost in her own world, the path twisted through the confines of Paradise falls till she came upon the shallows of the swirling pond at the bottom of the falls. Her humming grew to full lyrics
"So sweet your voice I hear. So strong your strength you behold. I trust you with my life. I bare your future in my womb. How could I ever doubt your word. I pray to always serve and please you, for I know you will always protect and care for me as you do with all your other fine brides"
A few more verses were sang to herself, totally oblivious of another hidden in the shadows. Christina was thoroughly enjoying herself as she let lyrics goes. Imagining her father finally giving her off to a worthy mate in a years time, of course she cared not for love, she knew that wasn't real, her father told her so. But to serve and make a stallion happy was a mares duty in life. And she wanted to do exactly that. Sighing with a moments pause as she looked down at her reflection, imaging a bold and strong stallion standing beside her and foal between them. Christina knew she was Lead Mare material and would strive to be that once she given to a stallion. She couldn't wait to prove her worth and make her father proud she was being the perfect mare for another stallion.

Dark ears caught the slight musical tone of another, green and blue orbs caught sight of a young mare. Not yet of age maybe, a year younger than he. He watched as she sang to herself, he watched as her young body seemed to dance to the water he watched silently not sure how to approach her. He knew though her beauty was there, slowly the black prince lifted his head as he chewed quietly to himself as he listened to what she sang. She seemed proper yet nervous all at once, it was strange for the prince to look at a mare and not have to worry about a war path glare from his father. Once he swallowed his green he slowly almost carefully stepped from the shadows, the shade seemed to create him as he walked forward. He did not know how to interact with this young one, or how she would react with him. A shallow gulp Insidious walked until he could see his own reflection behind her, he kept a respectful distance for he could smell a muscular scent on her. His green and blue eyes looked at her, his ears forward as he stood still. A lump was already in his throat, how was he going to speak to her without causing her to be alarmed? The summer sun shone down on them as he cleared his throat and offered a deep yet inviting nicker to her. "I don't mean to intrude my lady." Came his muscular voice, it was deep yet sooth like silk as he spoke. "But, your song it seems quiet lovely for a young one." He spoke as he blinked his dark lashes hiding his twice colored orbs. Insidious rested slightly as he focused on her, a somewhat lazy smile came to his dark lips. He wondered if she knew what she sang and wondered if she knew that she was a beauty. His breathing was easy, yet he kept alert wondering if this stallion he smelled on her would come charging at him. Then he was curious, about this scent on her was he a brother? A father? Or someone who was not related to her at all? He knew not what love was seeing he was never shown what love was or compassion. Because of his family, he did not even know if he was capable of love and compassion. He did however know what was right and what was wrong, he knew where he would stand if needed and would rather avoided a fight but would not let another just plow him over. The 16 hand tall man then cleared his throat again seeing it was only a few seconds since he spoke. "I am Insidious." He introduced himself, this was the first person he spoke since his escape that night. He shifted his weight again and looked down on the mare again, what tale did she have? <{Txepster}>

The delicate flower daintily touched her soft velvets to the water's surface and drank a cool drink quietly, closing her eyes momentarily enjoying the soothing liquid flowing down her throat. At the end of her long sip she opened her eyes, quickly they became wide with alarm seeing a reflection behind hers in the water. A dark ebony stranger. Glupping down one last time, slowly raising her petite tiara, audits twitching back to the stallion's welcoming nicker. Her breath was a bit quivering as she stood up straighter very subtly becoming rigid, still not looking back but her amber orbs fixed on his reflection waving in the small ripples of the reflective liquid pool. Thinking fast and hard, she'd yet to be caught in a situation completely without her father near by, so this was entirely nerve racking knowing she didn't have safety if she called for it. Closing her eyes once more to collect her thoughts, passively ignoring what this new face had said till she could think properly of what to do. He was older and well muscled, obviously stronger than he as any stallion should be compared to a mare. Seemed to have manners but he was alone. No other reflections had been seen in the waters and no other scents carried in the air but him, no harem yet perhaps. Was he a savage to take her away? No if he had been he'd have chased her off by now without being so respectively quiet and gentle toned. Though that didn't rule out trickster. In either which way Christina had obtained her personal control and finally turned courteously to be facing the black brute as he declared his own name. "I am not your lady and I thank you. I do pride myself in having a voice that will sooth a stallion's mind and heart so he can relax after a hard days work of battles and protection. " A voice that was bitter sweet flowed from her pursed kissers. A smile indeed was held on her maw but her lips were thin and strained, the only evidence of her nervousness of this new interaction. Testing herself the best she could in this situation, she had to obtain complete control and project strength like any proper lead mare. Even if he was just a stranger, she may encounter him later in life when she was with a stallion, her very strong reputation of poise and self confidence could be the very thing that would help ward him or others off from trying to steal from her future stallion and her. Or perhaps it'd make her the most desired that an even more deserving stallion would want to have her as their own. Either way acting like a scared little filly was not an option for her right now. "Sir Insidious, I am Christina, daughter of Sinestro and grand-daughter of Yarran. It is a pleasure to meet a fine stallion as yourself. Are you new? I've never seen or smelt you here before?"
