Ah, sunset. Such a lovely time of day. Shades of orange and pink were painted across the clear sky. Wind blew it's cooling breath across the terrace and the dark lady couldn't be more at peace with herself. Standing on the edge of the terrace, her raven colored frame stood still, looking over the world she was beginning to know. So high above everything, she felt like a queen. No, she felt like a goddess. Her dished head was lifted high and proud. Green-hazel pools seemed bright against the dark contrast of her pelt and locks.
While small and seemingly defenseless, she held an air about her that seemed to scream she was untouchable. The Arabian mare might have been small, but what she lacked in size she made up for in personality and willingness to survive. Persistent and snarky, she seemed to cause most of the trouble she found herself involved in. But today? Today was a day to be alone. Something was stirring inside of Sin; something she couldn't quite place. Was she itching for a fight? Maybe she just needed a good run. Or maybe she was losing herself.
With a snort, the temptress turned on her heel, wanting to take a peak from the opposite side of the terrace. The lands from both sides found themselves wrapped in life. Trees grew tall and mighty. Grass flourished with varying hues of green. In the distance, more mountains stood like kings over the lands. A large body of water could be seen, stretching far beyond the horizon. What a beautiful world Sinnersife had found herself in. But, would she stay? These days, her thoughts were as restless as her feet. With it came her temper. While calm in her surroundings, she was edgy inside. She shook her onyx frame viciously and grunted. She had a feeling her alone time was just about up.

The Alpine Terrace was his favorite place to be, so it was no surprise that Oblivion was there. With his coloration he blended in quite well with the mist and fog that gathered there. Today was no different. Oblivion found peace on the terrace, so he came to this place often. Today was slightly different, however, since Oblivion wasn't alone.
Oblivion hadn't seen another horse up here in two years. Well, at least not while he was up here. Thanato had been the first and thus far only horse who had timed their visit alongside his. Whether purposefully or not. But the fact that another horse had found their way up here was interesting, and he decided to investigate.
The horse he found, mare really, was black as night and looking out over the view. She looked irritated, like she wanted to sink her teeth into something and rip it to shreds. Yet, she seemed to be trying to compose herself. Well, perhaps that was the wrong way to put it, Oblivion thought to himself. She was edgy, that much was certain, and there was an air about the black mare that made her seem untouchable. That may have warned another stallion off, but not Oblivion.
It simply drew him closer.
He walked up to the mare, the soft grass all but silencing his footfalls. He knew the mist would camouflage him, and he wasn't worried too much about being discovered anyway. He would reveal himself to the dame before too long. So it made little sense to worry too much about remaining hidden, though it was always an afterthought with the grey stallion. When he was close to her, but still far enough out of reach to have ample time to defend himself should she turn hostile, Oblivion spoke.
"A nice evening, is it not?" He said to the mare, his soft grey tail flicking against his hindquarters briefly.

A heavy snort left the dark beauty. Every now and again, she could catch a soft thump making it's way up the terrace. Then, she could feel his presence. Her audits flicked back to listen, though her posture said she was ignoring him entirely. When he spoke, she couldn't stop the chuckle that escaped her lips. Though it was hardly audible, it seemed to echo in the open space. He asked a simple question, but Sin felt in no mood for polite conversation. "It is an evening." She stated curtly.
She turned her cranium slightly to take a peek at the brute who stood so close and she chuckled again. He stood just out of her striking distance and this amused her. Normally, a brute would move next to her without a second though. But this one seemed to be more like her. He kept a safe distance, but this was not because she made him nervous, no. It seemed to be so he'd have a chance of defense against her. However, the humor came from the brute's size. Such a large king and yet defensive against such a small Arabian.
In that moment, a new idea arose to Sinnersife. What if he would be the attacker? With her back turned to him, it would take no more than a quick push to send her to her death. Her hazel orbs stared down the drop now and she suppressed the urge to let a grunt of grief escape her maw. If this was how she was to die, at least she'd die the way Treva had.
No.. Sin thought. I'm not going to die today. With that final thought, she turned to meet the stallion face to face. He was larger than she'd thought. 16 hands or more. His coat was turning a crisp white. There was hardly any trace of his dapples left, and the few he had were a light golden color. His eyes were brown and dark compared to his misty pelt. A smirk crept across Sin's maw as she eyed him with interest now. "What brings someone like you up this far?" She asked, dipping her head and watching him from under her long, dark lashes. Her voice was low and soft; as if cooing to him.
The temptress began to walk a circle around the brute. He was muscular and very well built. Even here in mutual territory, he seemed to radiate leadership. Sin now wondered if they may clash. She'd never be a follower, but had always been a natural leader. It was one of her favorite traits about herself. She was stubborn and unwilling to be a follower. To many stallions, that was a problem and most would go out of their way to avoid a mare of such personality. But, here the vixen stood, face to face with the second stallion she'd encountered here.

The black mare, Arabian blood was apparent now that he had a better look at her, was trying to portray the image that she was ignoring him. But he saw her ears flick back towards him, and he knew that she was at least aware of his presence. And she was tracking his progress. Another stallion would have perhaps missed the signs, but not Oblivion. He didn't miss a thing. And while the pretty black mare hadn't turned to face him, yet anyway, but she let out a soft chuckle. She made a vague answer to him, possibly meant to irritate him. Oblivion didn't rise to the possible ploy.
He noticed that she had turned her head to see him, and appeared to be sizing him up. He couldn't help but chuckle, and her chuckle was lost to him. She was intelligent, he could tell, and he found it amusing that she seemed confused by his behavior. Oblivion knew that any other stallion would have siddled right up next to her, but he had learned to treat everyone as a possible threat. She may have been small, and he was obviously a large stallion, but Oblivion knew that size could be deceiving.
Oblivion could see the wheels turning in her head, and he knew that she was thinking he was there to kill her. Far from it, actually, but she didn't know that. Oblivion had given up his assassin job years ago, and the only way he would kill now was in defense of himself or those under his protection.
Finally the Arabian mare turned to face him, and he felt and watched her eyes roam over his body. For a moment she seemed surprised, and Oblivion assumed the small glimpse she had gotten of him before had given her a false impression of him. While she was looking him over, he looked around to survey their surroundings. The mist and fog hid a possible foe, and Oblivion didn't want to be caught off guard.
Oblivion turned back to her when she spoke, her head down with lashes all but fluttering at him. Her voice was low and almost sultry in sound, but he wasn't going to fall for such acting. He knew when a voice was being used to lure one in. "I come up here often. It is usually a good place to find solitude." He answered, simply.
Oblivion watched her circle him. He appeared calm and controlled on the outside, but already he was adjusting his weight to better defend himself if she chose to strike. There was something about the mare that intrigued him, much like his Reaper had intrigued him. The black mare, so small compared to him, seemed to be actually considering a fight between them. Oblivion would defend himself, but he wouldn't be the one to start a fight. Perhaps she thought he was here to force a claim on her? That would possibly be something another stallion would do, he supposed.
Oblivion wasn't going to force a claim on any mare. If a mare were to join him, it would be her own choice. Not that he didn't see the benefits of having a mare, this mare, in his harem. She was obviously a natural leader, and bold and confident since she was ready and willing to fight him. Oblivion pushed that thought aside, however, and spoke to her once more.
"What is your name? Or shall I simply call you what I choose?" He asked. Oblivion looked her over once more before adding. "I could call you Black Beauty, but that seems too cliche. Black Arab would be another possibility, though it does you no justice." He chuckled at his own words.

His every move was barely noticeable, even to the observant Sinnersife. She eyed him once more, this time taking in the smaller details. When he provided an answer to her question, she pressed her lips into a hard line and looked around the flat. Solitary. That was an excellent word to describe this place. After all, the dove had been looking over the terrace for quite some time, and not once - until the arrival of the stallion - did the world seem to stir. It was in those moments that Sinner had felt like the last being left on Earth.
When he asked her name, she held her breath briefly before releasing it slowly; quietly. He appeared to be just as observant as she, and Sin found some humor in that fact. The brute before her continued to speak in his deep tone. Naming off nicknames he'd give to the temptress if she didn't give her calling. She repressed the urge to roll her hazel orbs at him. He was charming, to say the least, but Sinnersife wasn't swayed by honeyed words. "Well, now. Someone seems to know how to flatter a lady." She said, a smirk creeping across her onyx lips. "I am called Sinnersife." She stated, her tone now taking on a lighter nature. The more this brute amused her, the more she'd warm up to him. Did that mean she'd give in to him or even trust him? No. But, had the mare ever really trusted anyone? That too was a no. Even Treva hadn't been fully trusted. While Sin had trusted Treva in many aspects, she knew that her sister was very much like her. Loyal, but willing to trade that loyalty for power if it was ever demanded. But, these days, Sin was loyal to no one. She was a lone mare and she'd rather enjoyed the time spent. Travelling had occupied her time and most of her time was spent under the cloak of night.
The sun had all but disappeared below the horizon. A silver moon was rising into the dark blue sky. Dim stars slowly began to illuminate. The pair had seemed to stand silently for a lifetime, though it had been mere moments. Sin, now realizing she'd never followed up her previous statement by asking his name, chuckled at herself. "Well, where are my manners?" She asked, mocking the formalities of the 'proper folk.' "It seems I forgot to ask your name." She stated, offering a somewhat friendlier smile than her usual smirk. It was almost as if she found something to be quite funny.

Oblivion bowed his head to the black mare before him, Sinnersife. He smiled at her, seeing the mare relax and seem to come out of her shell a bit. This didn't mean he was going to let his guard down. A mare could be as dangerous as any stallion, and sometimes more so. Instead, he kept his smile and answered her statement.
"My name is Oblivion." He answered simply.
And what else was there to say about a name? It was his named, that simply, and while some others would have elaborated on it, Oblivion saw no need to do such. He had noticed that the mare was eyeing him up and down, seeming to be trying to get a read on him. He knew he would be keeping her guessing for some time, no doubt. He never revealed much of himself, especially not to new people.
He looked out over the horizon, letting his eyes take in the mist and the height and the peace of it all. "Have you come up here seeking solitude as well, Sinnersife?" He asked her.
