Name: Cosette Gender: Female Breed: anglo-arab x akhal teke x mustang [small percentage] Age: five years Arrived in MUSTANG: Season Autumn, Year Four Coat Color: chestnut dappled pale red (apricot) dun Height: 16hh Eye Color: Hazel
Personality: There are two parts to Cosette. Firstly she is a very sweet mare, innocent and full of quiet joy for the world around her. The second part to the apricot mare is a part she both despises and adores - her Borderline Personality Disorder and mild Attention Deficit Disorder. This has made having personal relationships very difficult and hard to control - her way of thinking if limited to a very black and white judgement of others. This often creates more enemies than friends, despite her overall sweet nature. She doesn't particularly enjoy speaking harshly to anyone, yet her mood swings sometimes orchestrate this part of herself. Mood swings are common for Cosette, and beside her impulse decisions they make for an uncomfortable friend to hold.
Despite her trouble holding relationships, Cosette finds being by herself quite peaceful and she is often distracted by any and all things pretty. She is a dreamy creature, who adores nature and all of its beauty. She is a very beautiful mare, but on some days lacks to see it in herself, and can be prone to depression and a troubled mind. Overall Cosette finds herself often alone because of her self-destructive nature, but is a sweet and innocent mare.
History: A rather bland history save for all of the relationships she has had over the years. At four years old she is still young and fresh, never having felt a mans touch despite their interest. She has had admirers and men that have wooed and attempted to bed her - yet Cosette is simply too unstable to stay in one place or in one relationship for too long. Her first relationship disaster happened very early. After leaving her parents at age two, Cosette wandered with a group of other fillies and found her best friend, Ebonie, who lasted beside her for only a few months. Cosette was too hard to predict and would range from adoring Ebonie to hating her in a matter of minutes. She would rarely pay attention to important matters and was a stress for Ebonie to deal with - and so she was abandoned.
This happened to her multiple times - by both men and women, friends and hopeful lovers. Cosette simply did not have the attention or the solidarity to stand by them, or they by her. So she remains a loner, alone, very difficult to befriend and very difficult to stand by even at the best of times.

Welcome to MUSTANG! Your application is pending. The breeds involved in her crosses actually don't have the dun genes, so I need you to either add in a breed that has dun or change her color =/ Also, if you do keep her as a dun, I just wanted to double check that you mean for her to be a red dun (chestnut based)?

Just curious, does the akhal-teke breed not have the dun gene? I've seen lots that are dun/buckskin

Search dun here, list of colors here, explination here. I know there are stock horses on DA that call them dun, but I've never really thought they looked "dun" and there is a lot I'm finding that says the breed does not have the "dun" gene. Even in other breeds sooty and countershading produces false duns. And by "apricot" dun do you mean just a light shade of red dun? (We need to know for foal stats)

From the site you linked: and
So yes she would still be a "red dun" for the sake of the color calculator and foal stats as "apricot" is just a shade of red dun. Its like the difference between a blood bay and light bay.
Sorry if this seems like nit picking, but it makes foal stats so much easier to have actual names for things instead of the colloquial/slang name for shades of the actual color. If you would please indicate this I'll get her accepted.
