Personality:
Simba is a sweet girl at heart, but on the outside she can be cynical and insensitive. She's a huge fan of sarcasm and loves to back talk, but she means it well and does it a lot around her friends. It takes a lot to get her to open up, but once you do it's like a waterfall. She hates to admit she's been bested at something or that she's wrong, or even that she needs somebody. She's super feisty, doesn't take crap from anybody, and can be intolerably rude if you piss her off, but she's actually a nice person. She acts as though her life is perfect, but honestly lives in immeasurable guilt every day, and sometimes thinks there's something wrong with her - she's a homosexual and anyone in her old home got beaten for it. Though she really really hates to admit it, she's a giant sappy romantic at heart and goes crazy every time something romantic happens. Simba's a big fan of inside jokes and is very secretive; she loves mysteries so much she's become one.
History:
Simba was born into a relatively normal herd with a twin sister Nala, and everything was fabulous up until she and Nala turned one. The herd leader, who had been beating his mares, began to beat them as well. Originally Simba tried to protect Nala, but her twin would rather take the brunt of the blow. Months later, when the two, still fragile, were getting beaten more and more often and had lost a lot of blood, the leader got fed up with Simba, who had been smack talking him, and attempted to kill her, but Nala stopped him and died instead. Simba lives her life thinking she's killed her sister.
