Saffron is young, little understanding on what "love" and "affection" is. She was neglected by her mother and father, taken care of by a neighboring herds lead mare. She is very laid back and kind hearted, but hates too much contact with others because she isnt used to it. In general, she'll grow to be motherly and protective. She's unaware of brutality and war, more interested in the good of others.

Her life hasn't been too eventful, being sent her by her foster mother. Saffron was neglected as a baby by her real parents but got much love from a neighboring mare. She was born to two very head strong and powerful horses, unfortunately she is much unlike them and is scrawny. Saffron has been traveling for a while and has finally found MUSTANG, the place she was originally setting out to find.
