Hamlet is the total opposite of his sister. He's a complete gentleman and can be an absolute sweetheart. He loves children and has patience where most stallions seem to lack. But don't let that fool you. Where his sister has the hidden personality, so does this champagne guy. Hamlet can have a sick, twisted sense of humor and be a total asshat if he wanted to. Every time you interact with him, he seems to change the slightest bit to where his asshole-ness seems normal. One thing that no one will ever understand is how protective he is of his sister, Elenor.
History:
He's had a fairly normal life in his opinion. Born and raised by a mother who taught her children to respect, Hamlet does just that. He's been formed--by his mother nonetheless--to be the total gentleman that seems to have died out. At only a yearling, Hamlet had seen many stallions come and go; all trying to win his mother's heart over, even when she beat them and told them to fuck off. In his eyes, his mother was the perfect mare. She didn't take bullshit from stallions and was doing a great job in raising her twins.
He was loved, cherished by the two mares in his life, and raised correctly. But there was always a dark side to him that he hid. Even if his mother tried to teach him 100% right, those stallions that came year after year did a number on him. With no male influence aside from the lone brutes, Hamlet created a dark side. Well and hidden from the world, he often made dark jokes mentally until he was three. At that age, he began saying them out loud and catching everyone off guard. One moment he'd be sweet and a gentleman, then the next he'd say some dark or sexual joke. He found it hilarious to watch the faces of others turn from awe to 'what the hell?'.
It had been one big ass joke--it still is--and he doesn't realize he hurts some. He knows some creatures can be sensitive, but sometimes that dark side pokes out and slaps them in the face. It's a slap in the face for him as well, but it's something he's learned to ignore.
What threw him off his A-Game at age four, was when his sister Elenor was raped. Raped and brutally abused by her ex-mate. He was blind from what his sister had been dealing with for a year and a half. When Nori was raped, Hamlet stayed with her to comfort his sister. She ended up losing the foal and Hamlet saw the change in his sister. She'd snapped and completely changed. Now it's up to him to try and keep her in line.
