History: Her mother was a vagrant. A weak woman addicted to her own self pity, nothing more, nothing less and she lived out her days with a lurid grimace that would haunt the mind of young Odessa for many years to come. The little girl was born late winter, but the snow was still knee-high and the ice remained solid upon the earth. Her father? A boy. Simply a child, a two year old who had matured early and had been preyed upon by Odessa's needy dam. Once the lad knew his lover was carrying his offspring, he took to the hills; never to return. Her upbringing was not a warm, caring affair. They lived day to day - travelling far and wide until one day, when Odessa was but four months old, her mother dropped down dead. Aneurysm of the brain.

She was tiny, she was alone, and she speaks not of the period between then and now - nor of the stallion who took her for himself, nor of the miscarriage, or the way she learnt to fight for the very wind beneath her damaged wings with everything she had.
