The brindled red dun stag stopped by the river's edge, amber orbs observing the flowing river, then drifted his attention to the other side, to the old dilapidated town in the distance. He'd been roaming the lands checking everything out, seeing what's been changed, who was in charge of what territory now. And out of all the harem stallions he remembered, he'd learned that Paradisum was the only one remaining that owned land. He had not a clue as to who any of the others were. The younger generation was stepping up and taking over. He didn't know if he would have what it took to claim land anymore. He was getting on in age. And the last four years had been hell on his body, defending mares would be bad enough, but to keep and maintain his ranking status for a territory was unknown at this point in time. He was starting to get too old for that but, maybe his son Lazerus would step up to make his mark on Mustang. He had no idea about the where abouts of his other son, Fire Bird. He was pretty certain that his mother Lark had filled his head up with a lot of stories about how horrible he was, all just because he'd force bred her, and probably had a deep hate for him. Ah, well.. It was the life of a wild horse, and there wasn't much to stop the ways of the mustang.
Hooves lead him through the chilly water. The cooler autumn days had put its cool grasp on it as well, and before long the lands would be in a cold hardened silence from old man winter. He lowered his head a took a few swallows of the cool water before he exited on the other side. He shook out his body, then continued onward toward the ruins of the town. As he walked, that uneasy feeling that came back to him, as it always did entering that place. He always felt like he was being watched when he had been there times before, and it was no different to him now. He glanced back over his shoulder, then forward again. He stepped up on the wooden boards, and explored the ruins of the buildings. He lowered his head, an sniffed around, he smelt a lot of different scents that's been here recently, and so that told him that this place had become more popular with equines than what he remembered it being.
Auds pinned back instantly at the sound of a crash behind him. He spun around and snorted, amber orbs shifted back and forth, looking for the perpetrator. He raised his head up as he saw the equine that approached. "Aiyana?" he said, almost in disbelief of his own old eyes.

She had grown into a beautiful mare, the ripe mature age of six. She had already had an eventful life, but she was young and who knew what could come next. Moving slowly she wandered into the town, circling the outskirts and taking her time looking things over. She smelled around checking for any danger. This place could potentially where she would sleep tonight, hiding amongst the buildings to keep hidden from predators and other equines. She had been laying it low since she had returned to mustang. Things were not the same and she hadn't heard any rumors of her father and feared that he was no longer around. So she was laying it low, not yet feeling the need to resurface until she was sure the status on her father and older brother.
Entering the town she took her time. She was curious yet cautious, being sure things were safe to take refuge in. Being blind in one eye the mare was more focused on trying to get a good look instead of watching where she was stepping. Her front leg hit and set of steps, tripping her and she scrambled to stay on her feet, throwing her other leg forward and smacking some sort of barrel out of the way and catching herself while one of her back legs smashed into the top of the step and breaking the wood. She was sprawled out and stood like that for a few moments as she tried to realize what just happened. She regained herself moving away from the ruckus she just caused, but it wasn't to far until she heard her name being called.
Her white ears pricked forward before whirling her head in that direction to look at the red brindled stag. She instantly recognized him and a bright smile crossed over her muzzle before she galloped over to him and shoved her muzzle into his shoulder, nuzzling him lovingly.
"Daddy I've been looking for you," she whispered, relieved that he was still alive and looked in good health.

His heart was just filled with joy as his old eyes were true to him. It was his flower, his baby girl Aiyana. Oh it'd been too long since he'd seen his graying, dunalino daughter. "She'd grown up into a very beautiful woman. She did look very much like her mother. And that look her mother always carried about her, she had it as well. He welcomed her nuzzling, and did the same, embracing her against him. Enjoying his moment he'd been waiting for, for a long time. He listened to her speak that'd she'd been looking for him. He was surprised that she had been trying to find him. He was very glad she hadn't ended up with a fate he had over the past four years. He would of felt so horrible, and he didn't know if she had it in her to endure that kind of barbaric torture from humans like that. Or, he thought she hadn't anyway. "Oh my dear Flower. I have missed you so much." he said softly. "I have been looking for anyone I could from our family." he said to her. He was so overjoyed to see she was alive and well.

She had missed him so much and relieved that she finally wasn't alone anymore. The past four years had been a lot for her to endure, not as rough as her father, but still enough for the kind young girl. She continued to embrace him, making sure that this was in fact real, that she wasn't dreaming. She had missed his guidance, his voice, his embrace, and she had also dearly missed the rest of her family.
"Have you found any others, papa," she asked, pulling away slightly so she could look to his face.
She had hoped he had, prayed he was forming a herd back together. Even though she knew her mother wouldn't be around she still wanted to get back with the rest of them, to find her home once again. She could barely even remember everyone from the herd, but knew that if she saw them then she would recognize them.

Never had he thought that this day would come he would see any of his other children besides Lazerus. He couldn't really recall seeing many of his children beyond the stages of a yearling, besides Fiorella, and maybe FireBird. This one was of those many reasons he was glad he'd toughed out those four years of hell. To see his beautiful children, and grandchildren again. He let out a sigh, and looked her over again, as she spoke. "You look so much like your mother.." he said softly, as he brushed her forelock out of her face. He then answered her question about finding others of their family. "I have found a few of our family.." he started out. "Tigerlily, Lazerus, and the twins, Ezra, and Ellecia.. Im sure you remember them? Right?" he asked her, wondering if her memory still retained their names, and faces she had once seen. He figured she'd remember them, especially once she saw them. "I also have a new face that's apart of the family now. Her names is Absinthe." he added. He'd also found Lark but, he wasn't going to push his luck with her in rejoining him, though she had dramatically changed personality wise, it seemed. If the painted grulla mare wanted to join his family again, he'd let it be on her own accord, not by his force. He really did wish Ceata was still alive. It took many years to gain the gray mare's trust, and the time they spent together after that he longed for again. He hugged his grown up little girl again, and took a step back to look as her before he spoke. "So where have you been all these years? What have you been doing?" he asked her. He wanted to know the what, and the where, and the when of the last four years, before he told her about his hellish tale of prison with the white men that tried to break him.
